(no subject)
I took a couple of days away from my nano story, just because I could. And, actually, a few more days to let it settle might not be the worst thing. But I printed it out tonight. My 50,000 words ended up being 81 pages, single-spaced. I've never written 50,000 words of any one thing before, and holding the giant wodge of paper in my hand, getting to show it off to my dad and proclaim "I wrote this" was a very, very cool feeling.
In reality, it's more a collection of notes and ideas than even a real draft. But it's also an accomplishment. Tomorrow, I'll sit with it and start trying to build a proper outline.
