Summary: Ten tells Jackie about his plans for her daughter.
"This is partly your fault you know. If you hadn't raised her to be so bright and hopeful and nosey and brilliant and curious and stupid and incessant and stubborn and fantastic I would never have noticed her. I know you only want the best for her, you want her to be happy, well so do I. Oh Jackie, I can show her such sights! I can take her places she would never see if she stayed here all her life, she can do everything she ever dreamed possible and more, so much more! She can live such a great life!
I.... I can't promise I can keep her safe. I can't promise there won't be pain ahead and despair. I do know some of that will be partly your fault too though Jackie Tyler, oh yes! She will miss you. Some part of her will always be torn in two. Even as she has the time of her life she will wish you were there to see her like you've always been there before for every christmas, every school play, every scraped knee, every broken heart. But she can always come home Jackie. I swear, I will do everything I can to bring her back to you any time she wants. I will do everything in my power to keep her safe and happy, even if it means I have to let her go. I have to lose her.
I want your daughter to be happy. I want her to have the most amazing life, to do everything she wants, fulfill every single tiny atom of that fabulous potential that's locked inside her just screaming to come out.
I want what's best for her. And I want what she wants. I want her to be completely herself, to be everything she can be. I know you want it too.
If she chooses to walk away I will let her go. If she chooses to stay I will always welcome her back. All I ask is for you to do the same.
Let her fly Jackie Tyler. Let her soar with the angels and touch the sky. We will all be here to catch her if she falls. Because we want to be. Because she is so amazing we have no choice but to love her.
