Helpless.

Summary:  The helplessness is killing them

He can do nothing to help.  All his skill, all his knowledge is worthless now.  Her life, his future, is literally in someone elses hands.   Hands that are preparing to cut, to scar, to probe...  to operate.  Before he could plan for the tomorrow no one can guarantee them, he could fight for more time, he could keep moving, keep helping, do SOMEthing...

He stands and moves over to the doors, placing one hand flat against the unfeeling wood.  The helplessness is killing him.

All he can do is wait and hope she will come back to him again.  Because the alternative doesn't bear thinking about.

He can do nothing to help.  All his knowledge, all the power of his people, all he can do is worthless now.  Her life, his future, is literally in someone elses hands.  Hands that are catching her, holding her tight, pressing the yellow button.  Before, he could plan and run and think of where to take her next, what to show her, what might make her smile or gasp or ANYthing..

He stands and moves over to the unmoving wall, placing one hand and one cheek flat against it.  The helplessness is killing him.

All he can do is wait and hope he can reach her again someday.  Because the alternative doesn't bear thinking about.

She can do nothing to help.  All her skills, all she has studied, all she has experienced is worthless now.  Their lives, her whole planets future is literally in someone else's hands.  Hands that are twirling, killing, ageing and bringing down a plague upon her world.  Before she had thought they would win as always, that it would be over soon, that it was just a little further, that she could do SOMEthing...

She stands, tears running down her face as her hand presses flat against the uncaring leather and is taken away leaving them all behind, unable to save them.  The helplessness is killing her.

All she can do is walk and wait and hope she can return to him in time.  Because the alternative doesn't bear thinking about.
