Gosh, you know, I'm torn. On the one hand, it's fun to hang out with pals, and meet a scant few new people. Flipside hand, though, I fucking HATE PARTIES! I get this punishing social anxiety: Heart aflutter, blood racing, pores sweating, saying embarrassing things, it's an ugly scene. Resistance brings guilt, indulgence breeds self-contempt for behavioral malfunctions.

Can you tell that it's impossible for me to relax? So, the adolescent in me loves and blushes from the incessant invitations; reality tells me that I'll leave the party yelling at myself for missteps in meaningless interactions that only I remember.

Times like these, Zanino, I try to rally the troops for my own future benefit, but fear the sadness I could inflict on others! This is why I go to the fucking aquarium or the zoo; takes my mind off the whirlwind internal struggles.
