Well the part I was trying to show my pleasure over is that after it was all done I was happy to just leave. If I don't see him or hear from him for another 5 moths, I'll be OK with it because with the help of friends I've managed to rid myself of the expectations and crush.
I agree that had I started thinking "maybe there's a chance' again it would have been a horrible mistake but I think, like with people like DB or MM I have someone to cuddle with when he's around, and when he's not there are other people to cuddle with instead.
