week 1 complete
I've completed my first week with Cote Media and it's been enjoyable! It's a lot of research and I'm still getting used to keeping the FB posts short and the tweets even shorter. In school, we wrote papers, ya know? I took one journalism class to write blogs; that's the shortest piece of writing I practiced. I'm finding the biggest challenge is keeping things short! But that's a minor challenge. Right now, I'm only writing on Cote's fb and twitter and one blog for the website. Next week, I should have a couple more.
Other than that, things are going well all around. I'm back in Philly and hoping to spend some time with Pete and Paul this week. Going to see the new Hobbit movie Thursday night for Jenn's birthday. Next week, I have to look for a way to Jess A's house so we can go to CT that weekend and work on a realty agency commercial about a new app. It will be great to work on a film project again! They want me to act in it. That's even more exciting; I haven't been on that side in a while! I'd like to get back into acting, but right now I'm not looking to audition for anything. Pete does some film projects with friends so maybe I'll urge him to do something with me.
As for Christmas, thank goodness I got most of my gifts over the past few months bc after this trip to CT and paying December rent, I won't have much moolah left :/ I just have to find a Christmas gift for my sister and pitch in on a Kindle Fire for my mom. I'm excited to see friends again so soon! Then I'm back in Philly for New Year's Eve. It was a tough decision. I have to put effort into solidifying friends here so I figure ringing in the New Year is an appropriate gesture.
In 2014, I should have a healthy income from the new job :) I'm going to learn the guitar, continue yoga, and just be happy!
Anyone else have resolutions or goals for 2014?
