Housing the homeless

Jul 07, 2008 21:55

Jess and I started looking at houses again today. We went to three: the first one was a trailer, the second one wasn't too bad and we'll take a second look but I couldn't tell if it was lived in or decrepit, and the third house was pretty awesome. It was on a singular street that looked as if someone had started a new housing development but then forgot what they were doing mid-construction and decided to finish up with a cul de sac letting the vulturous salesmen sport their ground. On the right corner arc of the circle there's a house pushed back from the other mashed in boxes which sits comfortably by itself. All around the house is woods except for the nearest neighbor adjacent to the front corner. Nice yet secluded; unfortunately relatively new which doesn't fit with Sandy's "lived in" desire but it's near our price range, seems nice, won't get us cop raided for noise, and is a ten minute bike from UCF.

We're still looking at other houses but so far this is my pick until something better comes along. I'll take pictures when we get a walk-through of any house.

Twenty four days!
