DP Rewatch - Post 1
So I've been rewatching the whole DP series and am on about 41 right now... But realize I should be posting some caps so I'm not just plowing through them!
DP039 was one of my favorites... The scenes of the gang's Pokemon just hanging out on the boat seemed really well framed to me.

I really liked this frame for some reason~ You don't think Buizel as particularly majestic but he just looks really kickass here.
Croagrunt is my favorite. He's always so zen!
The second episode I really enjoyed was 41, with Zoey and the gang. I forget how much I liked Zoey but she's just a really great rival. I've always really had a soft-spot for her character slot since they don't get that much attention media-wise, but I think she's really good for Dawn's development without being a total dick (see:Georgia). I really like her character design too. I wonder if she got any features in old issues o Pokemon Fan?
She injured her leg in the episode. It was kind of nice that the writers showed her weakspots since it gave a little more depth to her character and the relationship with Dawn.
Shellos is so cute!
And this ep was pretty good for Brock's development too. I love this screen XD
The battles were a plus too. BW may have had better overall animation but you have to give it to DP for having some really unique attack combinations and graphics. One of the things I miss the most in the anime are combined attacks, since they were really one of the few things unique to it.
