Recap of the week....job?
Since monday I haven't really updated and there's been a wee bit going on.
On the way to Tracy's funeral on monday I got a call, out of the blue, from a girl who was in a few of lindsaycb's classes. She told me about a job where she works for a PHP programmer which they are looking to fill immediately. Wow. First, I was very surprised that she actually thought of me for the position. I don't know PHP, but I do know enough other languages that I should be able to pick it up pretty quickly. Anyway, I was transferred to the person who is doing the actual hiring and now I have an interview tomorrow morning...in West Chicago!
Tuesday night, sapphiremoon84 and her sister came out to DeK...we sat around at my place, watched Sex and the City (cause it was on) and sat through all of Corrina, Corrina...which really wasn't bad. I was pleasently surprised. Good times :)
Yesterday...worked in the morning, Erin and her sister stopped by in the afternoon to see the new MCL. Erin almost cried when she saw the place...it looks sooooo good now! So last night was an NWN session at Brent's...my computer kept crashing and now I know why! It's getting too damn hot! Cracked the bitch open and sat a box fan right up next to it...no problems after that! Stupid computer. Now I either have to find the fan I picked up last summer (and subsequently lost) or get a new one (or two)...then I can actually game with it :) Oh, we played a mod that was hard as hell too...even with 14l characters! Heart of Winter if you're interested...it's bloody rough
Today, work work work then home to do laundry, clean myself up for tomorrow. Basically sitting at home and bumming around.
Tomorrow, interview then I'm gonna head on in to the city to see my sister and hang with her. She wants to get me some funky pair of sandles or something like that...never worn sandles before...kooky.
Saturday, work then who the hell knows? Any ideas anyone?
Sunday, brunch with the fam + Lindsay (if she doesn't have any plans, my sis wants her to be there) before my sister leaves for a 3 week road trip.
Gonna be a busy next few days!
