I was reading about this on CNN.com. Over spring break, an aspiring writer and Drake University sophomore thought he'd spend a week in a Wal-Mart as a test of endurance, using it as the premise for a magazine article. His college adviser liked the idea. After spending 41 hours in a Wal-Mart, he went home considering the project a failure. But his college advisor contacted a magazine and they wanted to know about the experience, which led to news coverage of this and suddenly this kid is being offered a book deal, New Line Cinema contacted him about a movie, and he was interviewed on NPR.

Seriously, spending 41 hours in Wal-Mart deserves this sort of attention? And we didn’t get enough of people living in Wal-Mart in the book and feature film “Where the Heart Is”?
