Lost Memories Part 4
Owen walks over to Jack and hands him a cold wash cloth. "His face is getting darker. just place this on his forehead."
Jack puts the cloth on Ianto's forehead and kisses him. "don't you go to sleep now. will you” he looks over at Tosh “Tosh go and see the pilot again and ask him to radio for an ambulance to meet us straight away, and ask how long its going to take to get there, he needs medical attention now."
Tosh nods and walks back to the pilot.
"Jack ........I'm going to........" Ianto sat up and clenched his stomach. he threw up all over the seat in front of him.
Jack wipes off Ianto's mouth and pulls Ianto close to him hugging him close. "shh your OK” he feels Ianto's cheek"Owen hes still burning up" looks at Gwen “Gwen can you clean that up for me"
"No problem." Gwen walks towards the back of the plane where some spare towels were.
"Jack I don't feel good." Ianto moans.
Owen walks over to Jack "Move him to a different seat, Jack. we have to clean up."
"i know you don't, but think about it your going to get through this and then in Canada we can start thinking about the future yeah just me and you." Jack smiles and pick Ianto up without warning him first. "I'm sorry, i really am"
Ianto groaned as Jack lifted him "Me and you"Ianto repeated, his eyes halfway closed. his voice trailed off.
Jack places Ianto into the seat.
"Ianto you've got to stay awake, I'm sorry but please don't sleep. I can't loose you."
Ianto was half awake"Jack let me sleep......"Ianto's eyes closed. he was breathing very light.
Jack shakes Ianto's head trying to wake him up. "No Ianto not like this. you can't." A tear rolls down Jacks face and falls on to Ianto's.
Ianto doesn't move. His breathing becomes even more lighter.
"Owen get your arse here now. Come on Ianto don't do this now, Tosh how long until we can land ?"
Tosh walks over to Jack. "Only 6 hours till we can land. The pilot says thats the closest we can get to land."
Jacks shaking in fear now and whispers. "Hes not going to make it... " He starts to cry and stands up walking away running his hand through his hair, panicking slightly.
Owen runs over with an oxygen mask placing it round Ianto's face and turning on the oxygen.
After a few minutes Ianto opened his eyes. "Jack?"
Jack runs back over to Ianto's side and kisses him.
"Jack am i going to be OK?" Ianto said very quietly, Jack could barely here him.
"What?” he sighs and smiles “yeah of course you will be i won't let anything else happen to you. I'm sorry this is my fault. I shouldn't of left you."
"Jack....sit next to me please."
Jack sits down.
Ianto rests his head on Jacks chest listening to him breath.
"You hear that? your breathings got to be the same OK?"
Ianto nodded.
He took a deep breath and slowly exhaled. Then Ianto started breathing along with Jack. Jack inhaled, so did Ianto.
"I'm stupid." Ianto sighed
"Your the most smartest brilliant man I've ever met and ever loved." Jack hugs Ianto tightly. " Are you feeling a bit better now?"
"Better now." Ianto smiled. "I'm stupid Jack. i should have never touched it."
Jack shakes his head. "You didn't know. To be honest if it was me, I'd of touched it." Jack kisses Ianto's forehead.
"Just keep doing what your doing. Keep being alive for me, for the future." Jack smiles
"I will Jack." Ianto snuggled in closer to Jack. "I'm bored."
Jack laughs. "you never stop moaning do you?" Jack laughs more. "what do you feel like doing?"
"want to play pacman?" Ianto said with a yawn. "Tosh brought some games."
Jack laughs "when were guys such kids? do you want a coffee? I'll make you one if you want."
Owen walks past them looking through his medical bag. "Sorry Jack. No coffee for him."
"why not it might help him."
"It won't be good for his stomach. Give him some tea."
"He doesn't like tea." Jack laughs.
"well one things for sure. hes not getting coffee. but you can have one." Owen took something out of his bag. "Take these. they'll make your fever go down."
Owen hands the tablets to Ianto and smiles.
"well i guess I'll go and get a coffee then” he sighs “bet you its going to be instant though." Jack laughs a little.
Ianto frowns. "your not going to drink instant are you?"
"if thats all there is” he shrugs “your not going to be mad are you?" Jack laughs slightly.
"Guess not....but can you get Tosh's video games?"
"Fine” he laughs “good to see your feeling so much better Mr. Jones, maybe we won't have to rush you into hospital after all." Jack smiles.
"Hope not. hate hospitals. they give me the creeps." Ianto moves off of Jack to let Jack get out. "hurry back."
Jack laughs grabbing Tosh's video games and giving them to Ianto while going to get a coffee from the next cabin,
Jack returns later with a plastic cup in his hand. "Guess what? Its instant and doesn't taste of anything"
Jack sits next to Ianto and smiles giving him a sip without Owen noticing, "see? not as good as yours is it?"
"No it's not.” Ianto Smiles “You can have the rest." Ianto lays on Jacks shoulder passing him a remote. "Pac-man or Tetris?"
Jack sighs rolling his eyes. "oh go on then spaceman."
Jack and Ianto played spaceman for 45 min.
Owen walked up to them. "Ianto i need to examine you one more time."
Ianto sits up a bit wincing and pausing the game. "sure"
"OK. Just tell me when it hurts." Owen started pressing down on Ianto's stomach.
"owwww" Ianto clutches his stomach and winces "oh shit Owen thats where it hurts."
"If it gets any worse let me know." Owen places his hand on his forehead. "Your temperatures gone down a bit. That's good. If your tired you can go to sleep." Owen looks over at Jack. "If he falls asleep moniter him. If he starts to get hot and starts sweating wake him up. But it's getting late. Me Tosh and Gwen are going to go to sleep."
"Good thing i don't sleep then isn't it ?" Jack chuckles a little and looks at Ianto "see you can sleep now, good night." Jack kisses him.
Ianto hugs Jack. "Good night Jack. Love you."
Jack sighs happily. "You too."
Ianto falls asleep on Jacks Chest.
Gwen walks over to Jack. "Good night Jack. I'm glad Ianto is feeling better"
"Thanks Gwen. Get a good nights sleep." Winks at her.
Gwen smiles and walks back to her seat.
Jack pulls the blanket over Ianto a bit more after he checks his temperature and he feels a bit cold now, Jack cuddle up to him and yawns. "If only i could sleep..."
In Ianto's sleep, he grabs onto jacks shirt, pulling himself closer to Jack. He starts mumbling in his sleep. "..........Jack...........Coffee.................Canada..........."
Jack smiles to himself and rests his eyes for a minute. "My man never changes."
One of the plane's server came up to Jack. "Do you need anything sir?"
"Do you know how to make decent coffee? could do with one of them” he laughs “and maybe a heat pack for him too hes getting a bit cold."
"My mum thought me how to make this wonderful coffee. ill go make you some. ill also get you something for your friend."
"My boyfriend and thanks."
She looks over at the sleeping Ianto. "You two look cute together. I'll be right back."
She walked to the back of the plane where the kitchen was located.
Jack chuckles. "nah he looks cute."
Jack looks down at Ianto stroking his forehead. Ianto smiled in his sleep as he felt Jacks hand brush through his hair.
the waitress walked back to Jack holding a coffee, another blanket and a heat pack. "This is all we had in the back. I hope it helps."
"Thanks." Jack smiled at the waitress, wrapping the other blanket around Ianto and putting the heat pad on him to warm him up too. "touch his face does that seem too cold to you."
She gently touches his face. "He's freezing. Is he all right?"
Jack frowns a little and decides to wake Ianto up. "Hes never been this cold before, Ianto wake up try and warm up a bit."
Ianto turns in his sleep but doesn't wake up.
Jack shakes Ianto gently. "Come on Yan, you gotta wake up and warm up."
"don't want to......."
Jack laughs. "well u gotta."
"no i don't....Owen said” He yawns “...I could sleep."
"Not if your cold he didn't."
"Do i get coffee?" He opens his eyes and See's a coffee cup in his hand.
Jack shakes his head. "but u can have a coco if the woman will let you have one."
He turns to the woman. "Do I get any coco?"
Jack laughs along with the woman. "Thats my man, he'll have marshmallows and chocolate 100's of 1000's on his."
Jack Winks at the woman.
The Woman gives Ianto his Coco and walks away.
Ianto was able to smell the coffee in Jack's cup and sighed. "Jack I'm freezing."
Jack frowns a little. "can't you feel the heat pads we just gave you?"
"No. I can barley feel anything." Ianto starts coughing.
"oh baby" Jack hugs Ianto tightly.
"don't worry I'll find a way of warming you up." Jack winks at Ianto
Ianto smiles and cuddles closer to Jack. his coughing getting worse.
"Jack am i going to be OK?" Jack chuckles.
"how many more times have u gotta ask boy?" Jack laughs and then goes serious and kisses Ianto on the forehead. "i hope so .."
"Because i feel like crap right now." Ianto sighs. "Can i go back to sleep?"
"what is it with you and sleeping tonight, do u like leaving me here talking to myself all night."
"Isn't my fault you don't sleep." Ianto's temperature started dropping rapidly.
"God boy, you sure your not dead, your frozen."
Ianto clutched his stomach in pain,again. "Jack it hurts"
Jack hugs Ianto tightly. "just try and ignore it yeah, Owen get up now!!!"
Owen rolled over. "What is it Jack?"
"what do you think he's in pain again!! get up now thats an order!!"
Owen got up and looked at Ianto "Shit...."
He went back and got something out of his bag.
"Jack I'm going to need you to hold Ianto. Wrap him in the blankets. try and keep him warm. We cant let him freeze." He took out a needle. "I was going to wait a bit longer to use this, so it doesn't wear off. it should stop the pain completely until we land." Owen took Ianto's arm and put the needle in it.
Jack Hugs Ianto pulling him close trying to warm. "Owen what happens if this doesn't work?"
"Well all i have left is aspirin. and that won't do any good for him." Owen whispers into Jacks ear. "I don't care how you do it, but he has to eat something. if he doesn't it will just get worse."
Jack raises an eyebrow. "You hungry Ianto? need anything to eat ? I'll get you anything..."
"I'm not hungry. I just want to sleep."
Owen looks at Jack. "Make him eat."
"I will OK ..." Jack kisses Ianto "I promise you can sleep as soon as you've eaten something, how about
some soup or something you normally love that when your ill."
"Got any toast?" Ianto said stuttering because of how cold he was.
Jack nods. "yeah i can do you some toast if thats what you want."
Jack smiles and walks off to the kitchen part of the plane.
Owen yawned "Ianto do whatever Jack says."
Ianto nodded trying not to fall asleep. "Owen why don't you like me?"
Owen looks at Ianto and shakes his head. "i do mate, otherwise y else am i doing this?"
"How come you call me Tea-boy?"
"its a joke mate, u know the things your meant to laugh at."
"OK” Ianto pauses for a minute. “What's the matter with me?"
Owen shrugs. "honestly i don't know I'm thinking a reaction to the tech."
"Thank-you" Ianto give Owen a smile.
"just make sure u eat something. you'll feel better." Owen smiles back.
"I'll let you get some sleep. Jack should be back any minute with my toast."
Owen nods and walks away looking back. "You sure your going to be OK ?"
"I'll be fine. I'm just freezing."
Owen smiles and nods walking off, turns round quickly laughing holding his arms open. "Yan sure u
don't want a hug?"
"If you don't mind." Ianto sat up.
Owen raises his eyebrows and walks over. "really?" i thought u were going to turn me down" Owen laughs hugging up to Ianto tight.
"Thanks Owen, your a great doctor."
"yeah i know ....."
Jack walks in holding Ianto's toast and smiles. his heart warming, and just watches for a second and then coughs. "i got the toast."
Ianto lets go of Owen. "hi jack....."
Owen jumps back. "ah right OK then night all." Owen waves and walks away.
"Night Owen." Ianto turns back to Jack.
"Thanks for the toast." He took a couple bites. "Want any?"
Jack shakes his head. "no you need it more than me, anyways i pigged out on the on board sickness
sweets they've got a whole cupboard out there. y do they only give u one on take off?"
"don't know. Are you sure? I'm not even that hungry."
"eat it." Jack laughs.
"fine. I'm only eating it for you."
Jack smiles. "good thats what i want to hear."
Ianto finished his toast. "How much longer till we get there?"
Jack shrugs. "about 3 hours i guess."
"what are we doing when we get there?"
"well your going to a hospital so we can get u scanned and see whats going on inside u and I'm going to
check out the new hub with Tosh and Gwen."
"Jack can't you stay with me and Owen? you know i hate hospitals."
"you'll be fine with Owen."
Ianto pouts. "please."
"but you know I've gotta sort out the hub."
"fine." Ianto snuggles closer to Jack.
Gwens phone started going off.
Jack sighs. "not again"
Jack grabs Gwens phone before she realizes its ringing and laughs. "shall we have some fun..."
Jack goes to answer the phone when Gwen wakes up.
"Give me back the phone, Jack" Gwen holds out her hand to take it from him. Jack throws the phone to her.
"i was going to give it to u anyways." Jack pouts and cuddles Ianto more.
"sure you were." Gwen puts the phone to her ear.
"Rhys it's the middle of the night."
Rhys laughs. "oh sorry love its morning here, forgot about time changes or whatever..."
"it's OK Jack says we have another 3 hours till the plane lands. we have to take Ianto to the hospital."
"why whats wrong with him?"
"First he was running a very high fever. almost went into a coma. Then his fever goes away and he's ice cold. Owen's doing everything he can for him."
"but hows he now?"
"hes still a bit cold and his stomachs hurting just a bit."
"tell him get well soon from me then, I've gotta go someones kicking off in ruths office bye love ya."
Rhys hangs up.
Gwen puts the phone in her pocket.
"Ianto, Rhys says get well soon."
Jack laughs a little. "he can't hear u." He points down at the sleeping Ianto in his arms and hugs him closer wrapping the blanket around him tighter.
"I'll tell him when he wakes up then. Jack you look a bit tired."
He shrugs and laughs. "i may look tired but i still can't sleep." Jack smiles a little looking down at Ianto.
"Is he getting any better?"
"I'm not sure.. I've never seen him like this before."
Gwen gently touches Ianto's face. "Gosh Jack, he's freezing."
Jack nods and lets a tear roll down his face, wiping it away he sniffs.
"One sec."Gwen turns around and grabs something. "A blanket for Ianto and a tissue for you."
Jack laughs a little, wiping his face. "You know all the possible futures with him. i didn't see this one."
"Everything will be all right. I know Ianto will make it through this." Gwen looks into Jacks eyes.
"Also quit blaming yourself for whatever goes wrong."
Jack shakes his head. "its my fault that i got you guys caught up in this life."
"It's not your fault. We all could have taken retcon to forget about this life. but we didn't." Gwen sees Jack look down at Ianto. she knows exactly what Jack's thinking. "He didn't choose to have his memories erased."
"how do you know, he knew what that tech did he'd been missing me all that time i would of done the same if was him."
"he didn't know Jack. Before we left...... we didn't tell him what it was. it was stupid on our part. he stayed at the Hub every day hoping you would return so he could be with you."
Jack nods. "how was he when i left."
"I'm going to be totally honest with you jack. Whenever he made a coffee for himself, he would always make a second one and bring it to your office, hoping you would show up. he loves you jack. he doesn't want you to take the blame for everything."
"no but it was my fault i left..."
"Yes jack you left. we were mad that you left but were not anymore because your back." Gwen takes a deep breath trying to calm down. "i don't know what you think about this but, you should have no regrets in your life. The only regret in Ianto's life is that he touched the device and forgot you. he's trying so hard to take away the guilt you have but you won't let him."
Jack nods. "so what else did u guys find or get up to while i was away?"
"nothing really. just Weevils. One of them was carrying that device. we don't know how the weevil got it."
Jack laughs. "the weevil probably doesn't even know now ... so is it more fun with or without me."
"definately with."
