My mom played this... more British(?) version of Peek-a-boo with her grand-babies. She played "Hidey Boo!" Sasha has been playing the game a lot lately. Just sitting with her in the bathroom and she was playing this... I very, very nearly cried. It is so sweet and I'm sorry my mother missed it.

After a few days of meaning to get to it, I finally opened up my Giftmas List early this morning... and realized I needed to trim my mother off of it. I do keep people on the list to whom I no longer give presents, in history columns. Still, I cut her off from this year and moved her down into the history section. When I was 17yo, I lived with a family. The matriarch was Mama Gwen (Glynda Coursey). She took in so many "strays" along the way and was Mama to all of us. She stayed up late, all night at times, talking with us. She taught us about life. She taught us to Pay it Forward in very real life ways when were able to do so. It is amazing what a pick-me-up you can get from a few new items, perhaps just shoes! I don't remember the last time I got new shoes that weren't for work. Once Sasha got up this morning, she got to help Mommy a little in the kitchen. I made French Toast and Scrambled Eggs. Daddy made Sausage. Sasha started with an appetizer of cantaloupe, which she also rubbed on her toes! lol She actually got a glass plate for her own breakfast! Sasha turns one tomorrow.
