A dolls house was one that I had to read more than once to understand. I am glad that I have friends in the class because they gave me a little guidance. Then watching the movie helped me put the pieces together. After discussing this in class it made complete sense. Throughout the play the only thing I thought about was where did the title come from. This was basically about a women who was basically living in a doll house. She was letting her husband control her every move. It made you think about what life was like for many women during this time. The deeper meaning in this is that money does not buy happiness. We have many examples of this in the life we live in this day in time. In the story the lady was just happy about being free from debt. Mind you she forged a signature to save her husbands life. He controls everything she does from the clothes she wears to the food she eats. She luckily has a friend that is complete oppisite of her for some assurance that it is ok to be alone. When the husband found out that she saved his life “you ruined me”. He didn’t want to be saved and that’s when I was sold that just because you have money doent mean your happy. Money may solve a lot of problems but can be the cause of so much more. I enjoyed reading this. Great lesson to learn!
