The Iranians show that they are willing to jest with the best of them:
http://www.cnn.com/2007/WORLD/meast/08/29/iran.us/index.html?section=cnn_latest I was particularly struck by this:
The Swiss diplomat was called and "Iran presented its strong protest to U.S. behavior which is contradictory to the international laws and regulations and asked for explanations," Hosseini said, according to IRNA..
Wait a moment.
The Islamic Republic of Iran, whose President is a man whose political career began with the capture of a whole US Embassy complete with staff, is complaining that we are acting "contradictory to the international laws and regulations" in capturing Iranian diplomats who are acting as suppliers to a violent insurgency?!!!
I greatly fear that we will say something diplomatic in response: the best response would be to simply laugh in their faces and tell them into which orifices they could stuff their complaints.
