Palestinian Tantrum at Putin the Poisoner When He References Reality

Some news items just make you want to laugh. Case in point:

Gil Rorien, "Arab Rage: Putin Recognized Jerusalem's Jewish Past," first published 06/28/2012,

Arab Muslims are enraged by remarks made by Russian President Vladimir Putin at the Kotel, recognizing Jerusalem's Jewish roots.

Putin visited the Kotel Tuesday night and toured the Kotel tunnels. He also said: "Here, we see how the Jewish past is etched into the stones of Jerusalem."

This short remark has aroused the wrath of local Arab leaders, who vehemently deny that the Temple Mount is where the Jewish Temples stood and that Jerusalem was the seat of the Hebrew monarchy for many centuries, long before Mohammed was born.

To put this in context, Putin the Poisoner, the current Russian dictator, has adopted a foreign policy largely consisting of taking a friendly attitude toward the Muslim Terrorists and a hostile one towards America and the Civilized West. By all logic, the Muslim Terrorists should reciprocate by rational tolerance and support for him. Unfortuantely for the Poisoning One, "rational tolerance and support," or even simple logic, is not something that that the Muslim Terrorists do very well.

Attorney Zahi Najidat, spokesman for the Islamic Movement in "the Palestinian Interior" (i.e. - the state of Israel), denounced Putin for allegedly siding with Israel, and mentioned Russia's support for Bashar Assad "who is slaughtering his own countrymen."

The Al Aqsa Institute issued a statement to the press in which it said: "We tell Putin and people like him that the Al-Buraq Wall is exclusive Muslim Waqf property, is an inseperable part of the blessed Al Aqsa Mosque and non-Muslims have no rights at this wall or at the blessed Al Aqsa Mosque, and all historic facts and international documents stress the fact that the Al Buraq Wall is Islamic…"

"We stress that every stone in the Al Aqsa Mosque and its buildings shows is evidence that it is Islamic and every stone in Al Quds is testimony to Al Quds's Muslim and Arabic nature."

Terror group Hamas's spokesman, Sami Abu Zuhri, said that Hamas rejects Putin's statement, which he says contradicts historic facts and the Shaw Report of 1930.

Now, in context.

It is a fact unquestioned by most actual historians that Jerusalem was a largely-Jewish city from roughly the time of David's Kingdom all the way until the Romans inflicted the Jewish Diaspora -- a duration of approximately a thousand years -- with the relatively brief interval of the 6th-century "Babylonian Captivity." The evidence for this derives not only from the Old and New Testaments of the Bible, but also from numerous Greco-Roman Classical sources, and from ample archaeological evidence (though the evidence also reveals that High Ancient Judaism was very different in some ways from what the Jewish Priests of Classical times reported).

However, the Muslim Terrorists to a large degree live in a fantasy-world of their own creation, in which certain inconvenient aspects of history (such as the antiquity of the Jewish residence in the Holy Land) must be denied in order to avoid cognitive dissonance. This fantasy-world has been reinforced by acceptance from the West from two main sources: Nazi Germany during World War II (which had a huge cultural influence on the Arab Nationalist movements), and the Soviet Union during the latter Cold War (which used it as part of strategic disinformation campaigns designed to destablize Israel as an American ally).

This is the huge joke of it. Putin, a former Soviet official, has run afoul of a memetic poison his own side dispensed. He must have temporarily forgotten, or not even cared, just what his own side was disseminating 30-40 years ago.

This is but a harbinger of what will happen if Putin's plan to drive America out of the Muslim world actually worked. Putin will stand triumphant -- for a moment -- and then the Muslims will focus their attention on impoverished, population-depleted Russia, and the great Russian dying will begin again.

Just as it did in 1941, when the Russians' previous allies of convenience turned upon them.

You know -- if Russia keeps throwing up leaders of Putin's strategic brilliance, this may be a one of the reasons WHY Russia keeps suffering horribly in wars.
