PETA Honors a Mass Murderer

When one is an organization supposedly devoted to humanitarian ends, such as PETA, one must be careful with whom one chooses to associate.

Thus, it was not exactly a brilliant strategic decision for PETA to pick Lydia Guevera, grand-daughter of psychopathic mass murderer Che Guevera, to be their spokesmodel

Che Guevara's granddaughter, Lydia Guevara, is following in her revolutionary granddad's footsteps by calling for a vegetarian revolution.

Hmm. Is she gouging out the eyes of helpless victims, and shooting to death teenaged prisoners in order to facilitate this "revolution?" If not, I fear that she lacks her grandfather's genuine revolutionary spirit.

Of course, PETA is pretty much composed of airheaded flakes with a tenuous grasp on reality. I am in favor of rights for animals -- but only to the extent that the animals in question can fulfill the responsibilities that come with those rights. PETA favors unlimited rights for all animals (thus their ranting about Obama swatting a fly), which is unachievable because some animals are too stupid or aggressive to fulfill the minimum responsibility of peacefulness toward ourselves.

That's an amusing spectacle PETA is presenting. Criticizing a President for swatting flies, while honoring Che Guevera for killing HUMANS.

Makes me wonder as to their priorities.
