today

I have a week off before the next course starts and a few days until I find out whether I have to change anything in my last report. The last few days have been a total dead-zone for me. My college town is pretty much empty during the breaks. The "normal" people are still there, meaning the non-students, but I don't know anyone there who isn't from my school or my flatmates and most of my activities are hosted by the university.

I've been a total cabbage the last couple of days (is cabbage the right word? ). Some people don't mind not having plans or just staying home for an entire week, but I need to get outside the house for at least an hour each day. I think the only eventful thing that happened today was that I met my ex-step sister who I haven't seen in 1½ years. I just ran in to her on the street. Sometimes when I visit my mom I walk close to where her mom (my dad's ex) lives and I think about running in to one of them. It hasn't been such a long time since they split, but so many things have changed for me that I feel like it's a different life now. Looking back, I have split feelings about it. It was nice to see her though. We didn't really get a chance to talk a lot because we were both on the way to somewhere, but it seems like her family is doing alright.

PS: Bonnie 'Prince' Billy fucking rocks.
