Ramblings on bisexuality; mine, questions of, and attitudes towards

Dec 05, 2010 22:23

I get asked a lot of questions about bisexuality so thought I’d ramble a bit about it; about my experiences being bi, and some more general stuff about attitudes towards bis, sexuality and labels in case anyone is vaguely interested.

Sorry it got a bit out of hand…

Ramblings including some naughty words here. )

ramblings, bisexuality

This is something I learned from a friend of mine. You might not know what to say for a response, but you want to leave a response of some sort. So here, have a pebble. Because I wanted to at least comment. ♥

Yes, this sooo much. Since I identify as 'straight' (when I'm probably about a 3 on your scale) I've been chasitized (by the 6 to 10 crowd) that I'm not allowed to have opinions on gay or bi issues. How I identify my self in public vs who I am in private is my business. And really, if I'm hooked up with the same sex, opposite sex, or no sex, at this moment at time, does this change who I am at my core? I don't think so, but apparently other folks do.

We really are such quaint people with our little boxes.

Oh we really are. And I actaully walked out of a pride rally many years ago because they were having a go at some straight people that had attending in support, saying that they didn't belong there. WTF? I just do not get that mentality.

Thank you for reading and replying.

I hug you so hard because every word you wrote is true
I'm one of those who has never kissed a girl but I know I'm attracted to them. Same goes for guys.
The part where you talk about on/off for men or women I have friends who have asked that question to their friends and I laugh because they make it sound like they can turn on/off their feelings for a certain gender.
Same thing goes for labels-hate them but have their uses in society

Thank you; thank you for reading and replying and I'm glad (in a weird way) this struck a chord with you. Can you imagine if we had little man/woman on/off switches?
