Absurdism

I love being absurd. Though it can drive Lisa crazy, I love to misinterpret a statement and build a logical but absurd structure upon it which culminates either in world destruction or baby Zoroaster crying. The lure of witty wordplay combined with using logic to subvert itself is hilarious to me. While I know that using bizarre conclusions and absurd statements to diffuse arguments is counter productive, it is irresistible.

Something which I really enjoy, yet rarely get to do, is to be in a conversation where a absurd non sequitur is dropped and the conversation derails into logical constructions that usually end somewhere very wrong. It is almost as if in the midst of a regular conversation something magical intrudes, bringing humor and mental stimulation somewhere it had yet to be. It requires that both parties be absurdists at heart and I find that my type are rare.

Does this ring a bell? If so, where? Was the bell stolen? Perhaps by . . .
