I'm back, although Heathrow and traveling was a nightmare yesterday. I'll avoid relating too much because I'll just get annoyed again. The sad highlight is that it's very likely I've lost my umbrella- I was forced by security to check it and had no protective cover to put it in. • Although I think of suet as a bird food, it actually makes an amazingly good pastry
  crust for suet pie.

In a surprise turn of events, it snowed in London last night, completely shutting down the city. London is like Seattle in a number of ways relating to weather, and their reaction to snow is identical: Both cities come to a complete standstill. Just got back from watching a production of Carousel, which was interesting, but had a few fatal flaws. The first wasn't really the fault of the theatre; the storyline for the show is just really, really dated these days, and goes on for well over 3 hours (too long, IMO, for most modern audiences).
