Just saw parts of the grammys...heh...this entry is all about green day because well, they piss me off....lets first talk about them winning...their music isn't very talented when in comparison to other artists and their cd is hardly the best cd to come out this year (check out the lostprophets cd if you don't believe me). next lets talk about their show...what kind of narrow minded idiots have the nerve to not only wash out an american flag in the background but to have flames shooting up next to it to imply it burning...yeah, thats a lot of respect for the country that provides them the freedom to do what they do...secondly, they talk about being mind-controlled by the mass media..THEY ARE THE FUCKING MASS MEDIA! Last and finally not least, his little mock salute while singing such a trashy song. He is so cool for doing that satirical salute while people are over there risking their lives so that others may have freedom. Let them risk their lives for once and not spend the night in a 4 star hotel and lets see how they would feel should somebody make a mockery of what they're doing. I have absolutely no muciscal respect for people who still insist that "American Idiot" is such a great song and is worthy of any awards and the accolades it has been recieving. It really is sad that people will allow green day to capitalize on such a situation. They are intentionally feeding off of a tragic situation. It is horrible that we have to be over there and that we have to actually fight for other people's freedom but if we don't stand up for those people, who will?
