I just started listening to Thank You, Jeeves, read by the excellent Jonathan Cecil.
I've always enjoyed the misadventures of Bertram Wooster, P.G.Wodehouse's well-meaning, but hopeless, upper class twit and his unflappable butler, Jeeves.
Years ago, Hugh Laurie and Stephen Fry made a pretty good stab at bringing the mismatched duo to the small screen. However, much as I enjoyed watching the show, for me, the true joy of P.G.Wodehouse is in his description of the world, situations and people, as seen through Bertie's eyes, which is hard to transfer to film.
I've been driving around, grinning like an idiot while I listen to Wodehouse's unique narrative.
How about you?
