At the school assemblies I addressed last month, the principal introduced me as 'Our Author in Residence' which sounds very impressive :)
I'm starting off my teaching sessions with 'Creating Colorful Characters', the first module from my school, Fun with Fiction program. I'm really looking forward to this :)

A CARNIVAL OF AUTHORS

I'd describe this as a cross between a mini-writing conference and a talent show.
We've prepared a rolling program of 10-minute workshops by individual presenters, followed by 5-minute Q&As. Once everyone's had their turn at the mike, we'll have a bit of a break for coffee and a chinwag before starting again on different writerly subjects.
If you can't make the Saturday, there's a similar event on the Sunday (11:30am - 3:00pm), this time featuring: Ellen Meeropol; Fran Grote and Kerri Schoonover
