What I find interesting about the posts are the different ideas of where big publishing is heading where they view big publishers as heading.

I thought the Bilmes post was the best in-depth explanation of why Borders started having problems in the first place. A bookstore lives and dies by its inventory, so not having the right books when people walk in the door is almost bound to be fatal.
