On January 25, the Montsburgh Penadians will host the Mighty Blackhawks of Chicaheim in the 2009 NHL All-Star Game.

I don't know anything about hockey, but that does sound fishy. How do they hope to generate interest in the game outside those four markets without any other players?

The league probably "helped" the voting, since at one point the East lineup was going to be six Canadiens. The game is in Montreal, so I don't have a problem with them having a few starters, but four is a little silly.

And three Blackhawks?

(Keep in mind that, if the NFL had only used the online voting for the Pro Bowl starters, there would be something like 19 Redskins starting.)

The NHL should use a similar system to the NFL. 1/3 Players and coaches, 1/3 fans, 1/3 media.

That said, I fucking hate Crosby...
