john mulaney, whom my wife once accidentally called john mulvaney so that's his name in my world now, presented at the oscars.
i wanted to make the joke before everyone else but the instant publication universe will (the talk shows are always behind the instant publication universe now just like monthly magazines and then daily newspapers fell behind internet news and content outlets).
to wit:
if you didn't see it, comedian john mulaney graced the oscar stage with some of his trademark hilarious wit the other night. it was an awfully public venue to demonstrate he had relapsed after his nose candy rehab, but the best place to corral plenty of reformed users to stage his second celebrity-filled intervention.

NB: there's something of a genuine level of concern for his possibly having fallen off the wagon underlying my jest. we joke because we care.
