So I finally (with a great deal of help from a very lovely Osaka-based girl who shall remain nameless) got in contact with Mr Bowda, a visiting professor I had at Calarts 4 years ago. Basically I said:
夏にアメリカへかえる前に、お忙しいと思いますが、ぜひ先生に会いたいです。
そして私の作品を見ていただきたいです。
to which he responded:
7月くらいまで、渋谷のNHK放送センターでアニメーションの撮影で忙しいのですが、NHKの撮影スタジオで会うというのはいかがでしょう?
今月は16日から月末までNHKで撮影しています。
ジェレミー君の作品もぜひ見たいので是非お会いしましょう!
which means he's shooting for NHK right now (NHK = Japan's BBC), and he seems to be inviting me there.
It also says something about wanting to see my recent work- which means I should subtitle it. Hopefully I can make a pass at it myself before handing it off to one of my teachers or the aforementioned adorable Osaka-based bilinguist (tri?)
So in celebration- I'll post (on the Youtube*, no less) the film I made for him 4 years ago--

you can also
go there if you want to comment on it or whathave you.
Otherwise- I had one of those days that gets a bit Japan Fail rubber stamp on it. I didn't seem to be able to understand what people were saying to me. I think I pissed off the staff at the animation museum I went to, and generally made a nuisance of myself where'er I went.
*Oooooh- youtube changed its settings. It shows videos that haven't been fully processed yet. Makes the upload time quicker, but it may look bad for a few hours.
