(no subject)
Oh my god. Boy has it been a long time since i've updated... well not anymore!!! It's just the starting of things which is hard; once you get into them, no problem. Well... What have i been up to?... My partner Sam and I have now moved home, all the way from the cosy comforts of safe, small 'town' Norwich, to big, scary, metropolis... MANCHESTER.
Well i mean, basically... we are in our very own 1 bedroom private flat, centrally located, within walking distance of the university (for sam), and all your convinience needs... Its spaceous, warm, and homely. We are well settled, and are slowly but surely establishing our roots. I've been desperately looking for a job these past few weeks (we've been here a month now) which is evidently much harder than i ever expected, especially considering all those years of hard work at school- which don't seem to count for anything in the cut-throat world of work. All they seem to look for is experience; all i bloody want is a shitty admin role in the nhs or council!!!! I've filled in about 50+ forms here there and everywhere, and so far to no avail. However, i have not yet completely lost hope and motivation and decided to spend the rest of my life having babies off the governments back! ;P Things are painfully slowly moving forward.. I have an interview with a recruitment agency on Monday, and have shortlisted another 5 to join; and at least 1 of those companies should hopefully yield at least 1 lowest of the low, excuse for a job, clerical/office/admin/envelope licker role just for me! Lets hope so anyway.
Havn't really had a chance to go out all that much yet, as we have both been extremely busy as of recent in our self- obsessed lives! Me applying to all these jobs, signing up for all the various attachments (tv, telephone, internet....), applying for job seekers allowance! Sam dealing with the appauling administrative discrepencies in the world of university. ETC... I do look forward to the years to come when i may have the time to seek out a good ole reggae concert! :D
On the friends front.. Sam has obviously met a few people at Uni, (mostly from the maths department) and we've both been out with our next door neighbours a couple of times. Which is nice. But the terrible thing is, although all these people are perfectly NICE, REASONABLE, CHATTY, CITIZENS... they're all so awfully STRAIGHT!!!!!! Oh how i long for the casual drug user! Or at least someone who i know wouldn't run for cover if the knew how much dope i smoked! Which as previous regular readers know, i have no issues with. I am frankly bored of having to talk about it. I'm me.
Anyway it's late, and seening as i plan to make some more updates v. shortly... I'm bidding a mere goodnight to you all.

This is us outside the town hall in Jaca (small mountain town in pyrenees) at Sam's mum's wedding.
