We Went to Chicago Baby, to Hang Out With the Raaats!
Oh herroh! I haven't updated in ages!
My birthday just passed, didn't do much for it 'cause I worked so much overtime that week. Kevin made me salisbury steak for dinner though, and built my closet into a TARDIS. It's awesome!!! I'll post pictures when I'm on the computer (on my phone right now. Eating lunch. Yay strawberry, almond, and goat cheese herb salad!).
I was told Friday I could get chickens and raise them next spring, so that's been most of my thoughts lately.
Made my first set of curtains! Fuck yeah, blind hem stitching! It's cool doing that stitch, I feel so professional.
Still haven't used the serger. I'm scared of it, to be honest. But my next project will be a quick circle skirt, and it's mostly to test the pattern I made and test my serger. Sooo we'll see.
Goin' to Chicago to see Kevin's sister graduate in May. I hope it's not the same weekend Sarah graduates from Plymouth, cause I wanna go to that too.
I finally paid my car off (did I say that yet?! =D) !!!!!!!!!! Yay monies!
Well. Not that much money. I had to put about $1,000 into my car to pass inspection. Stupid emissions test and touchy engines. Really? Check engine light comes on cause I only clicked my gas cap 3 times instead of 4? C'mon!
I wanna go on a real trip this summer. We're deciding what week to shut down the lab during this summer, and I hope it matches with whatever one Sarah goes to California. I've never been west of Kentucky, so here's hoping! If not, maybe I'll isit my cousin in Georgia, cause I've never been south of Virginia. I know Kevin starts working more hours and weekends towards the end of the summer, so I don't know if we'll ge to do anythin g together during my vacation. But I have a few extra vacation days I can use throighout the year.
