OH HI LIVEJOURNAL!
Life rules.
I just ate a really tasty cinnamon bagel. WITH NO POISON NUGGETS IN IT! I don't actually mind raisins, other than when they get stuck in mah teefs, but soooomebody hates them.
And that somebody is awesome, and bought me a pile of comic books and more Pirate LEGOS!
Seriously, I have so many fuckin' LEGOS, and I've never paid for a single set (thanks Jenny, Martin, and Kevin!). The retaliate against him being so nice, I bought him the Mellinium Falcon set. IT'S SO BIG, and he finally found a home for it right next to his record player. =]
Nerds.
It is a little hard this time of year 'cause it's harvest, meaning I literally only see Kevin long enough to eat dinner, and pass out in bed. I make myself get up earlier in the morning so I can at least hang out with him for breakfast, since he has to be in a 7:30 now instead of 8. But it goes until November. It's a long time when you think about it, but I'm getting used to having afternoons to myself. This is the time of year when I get SUPER crafty, so it's giving me a lot more time to myself to get that stuff done. =]
The retreat was last weekend, it was AWESOME. I stopped giving a fuck about ANYTHING, 'cause I always got so nervous with so much pressure to impress the little kids, and be a standout member on TEAM. But by not giving a fuck, I somehow ended up being one of the VIPs of the weekend, it felt pretty good. I just did a lot over the weekend, showed a lot of initiative 'cause I kept myself busy helping put shit together, instead of letting any of the other girls on TEAM bitch to me about other girls on TEAM (same with the dudes).
I've never fit into any of the little cliques, which used to bother me, years ago, but really...I get to do my own thing, and I'm pretty much friends with everyone on TEAM. So although I'm not BEST FRIENDS with any of the other counselors, they all get along with me well enough that I get invited to EVERYTHING they do outside of the retreat, so hey....whatever works. I like them (except for one girl, who, to be fair, nobody likes and hasn't like for over a decade), and they like me. It's cool. =]
Anyways, life is still great, even if I'm covered in bugbites. =( It's September, c'mon!
But I'm off to see my sister, Mum, and the Monchichi (Maddie) to take a trip to Target, Kohl's and Goodwill, then to help Jenny pack. Then I get Elyssa hangouts tonight, she's coming to visit and I'm so excited!
