Patience
I think I have a lot of patience...being the Mom of a 4 year old force of nature requires that. Never realized I would need to draw (bad pun) on that for my sketches but today's picture required a lot of patience. It's an amazing piece of work by melaniey and it has so much detail. It took me 5 hours to do this drawing...I know, who has that kind of time when you have kids? Well nothing got done in my house today while the kids were at school but I'm in a very happy place.
After every hour, I scanned what I had accomplished just so I could see the progression and share it with my friend Andrea. The 6th picture is when I finally blended all the shading and fixed little things up. Now the original version has the whole negative space thing going on which gives it the nightly sparkle look but my skills are limited and don't include that.
Overall...I am so thrilled with this drawing. I was worried especially when I started adding all the hair but with Andrea's encouragement I just kept going and tada.....
