Today I met John at the
Dali Museum in St. Pete. They're having a 100th bday celebration with a stunning exhibit of Dali's more pop-iconographic stuff as well as his commercial work. While some of the old Dali standards were hanging around, there were many paintings on display that we hadn't seen before, as well as monitors continuously playing

Second, when I lived up here in the Chicago area before, I lived in the town of Cicero, which is where Al Capone first moved after Chicago kicked him out. It explains why the bars in Cicero are legally able to stay open 24-hours a day - and many do! Anyway, from my former apartment I could walk three blocks south and look at the home that Al moved into for a short while. He only lived there for a year, but then gave the house to a family relation, I think it was his sister.
