Totally pointless and boring!!
Once upon a time, in 2002, Paul and Joe DeGeorge played their first show billed as "Harry and the Potters" in their backyard, kick-starting the Wizard Rock Movement (oh yes, I called it a Movement). BUT, two years before that, the indie band Switchblade Kitten wrote their first Harry Potter themed song under the name The Weird Sisters, from Ginny's perspective. It was called "Ode to Harry Potter," and in 2007 (quite a gap, I know) they put out their first full length wizard rock album.
In 2004, Paul made me a CD of "random songs." The first song on it? "Ode to Harry Potter." Unbeknownst to the both of us, we had stumbled upon wizard rock a good three years before I would fall in love. :D I have the very first official wizard rock song authentically on a mix CD, labeled as "Harry Potter Love Song Thingy." ^_________^
