hereFair enough. But first the media has to stop reinforcing the doom-and-gloom trend. It is there, it is true but they have a responsibility to the people too: the news need not to be sadness all the time. People are influenced by the media and vice versa. The media has to be aware of this fact

Do writers and even artists have to pander to the whims and desires of their fans?
Where does the Asian (as in 'ethnically' Chinese, Japanese, Korean etc) stand in the world of the otherwise imperialist White Victorian world of Steampunk? How do Asians perceive or interpret Steampunk?
