Montreal :)

My trip to North Hatley and Montreal over the weekend was awesome. The resort on the lake in North Hatley where we had tea and lounged in the library before watching rainbows from our balcony was amazing. Massages and outdoor hot tubs at the Nordic Spa the next day was great as was the deep fried sushi that we had for lunch.

Montreal was fun, the food was delicious, and I did a scary amount of clothes shopping. Though we ate an amazing amount of really good food, the maple cream fondue with assorted fruit and marshmallows stands out as my favorite. We also enjoyed some really nice jazz over drinks (it helped that the sax player was hot, and the bassist wasn't too shabby either). I was also impressed by the number of boutiques with clothes that I liked, was able to fit into, and was willing to pay for. When all the shopping was mostly done, we chilled out at the park, which was teeming with drum circles and lively groups dancing chaotically.... it felt vaguely reminiscent of burning man, though was distinctly lacking in both fire and dust :-)
