A faint buzz of excitement that he instantly registered as Erik woke Charles from a dead sleep. Blinking groggily he peered down at where his lover was pressed close against his stomach. His no longer flat stomach he thought petulantly.
“I see you have finally noticed my hard work!” the thing chirped
Charles shifted and Erik glanced up at him with a wide grin “She moved.” He whispered voice rough with awe and Charles realised that Erik was just realizing that yes he was in fact responsible for creating the hellspawn that was currently rearranging his organs.
“Hellspawn? Why I never!” it spluttered “Here I am expending what little energy I can garner trying to entertain Father and this is the thanks I get?”
“Good morning to you too little one,” he murmured stroking Erik’s cheek lightly before pulling himself away so he could make a break for the loo.
As he trudged back Erik regarded him with a small frown “You are beginning to show.”
“Don’t blame me, I need space.” The thing pre-empted
Charles brushed his fingers over the small bulge absentmindedly “It is probably time we told the children.”
“Finally I get to meet the minions!” it cried and Charles sighed it was going to be a very, very long day.
“Oh my God you knocked up my brother!” Raven shouted glaring daggers at Erik as the others stared at Charles in shock
“I like to think of it as destiny,” the thing informed them primly
“Is he…I mean she a telepath?” Hank inquired eyes bright with curiosity
“I like to think of it as a leech personally,” Charles remarked pleasantly
“So you and the prof have been doing the nasty?” Alex asked Erik, lips twisted into a smirk
“I am fairly certain they did the same thing you and monkey boy have been doing” the thing commented dryly
“You’ve been spying on us!” Alex accused
“No I didn’t,” the thing retorted projecting a sense of glee as the boy’s face turned a bright red and Charles could see it all going downhill if those two went head to head
“I wonder if male pregnancy is common in mutants.” he mused watching in amusement as Hank froze, eyes wide before he fleeing the room
“I think that went well,” it remarked and as Charles glanced about the room he couldn’t help but agree
