The Robber Cop
Disney's "Robin Hood" appeared in my Netflix recommendations the other day, so I re-watched the film. As I watched, I got a costume idea for this year's Megaplex theme - Cops & Robbers.
Winston Wolf as The Honorable Sheriff of Nottingham. The ultimate cop-robber!
I imagine him parading around with the CARE donation box (relabeled as "TAXES, by order of Prince John Wallaby") shaking down attendees. Maybe stage some drama where someone wins an on-stage bet, only to have the winnings seized by the sheriff. Or, send some peeps who can't/won't donate pay taxes to debtor's prison.
There are some little issues...
Unlike the "Delta Air Lion" costume I assembled for DragonCon, the sheriff's clothing will most likely not be available off-the-shelf. So, I'd need to find someone to commission it from. Also, Winston's fur is brown, while the sheriff's was grey; might not make a difference if his garb is reproduced well enough.
