i went to andy's the two nights ago. we ended up picking up sarah and going to the alpha chi baptist house for the christian metalcore show. i had really liked this blessed mourning, and i came to the conclusion that the christian metalcore tbm is much better than the regular kid tbm. i also lost best two out of three at paper-rock-scissors and had to drink the sea-foam green baptist water through a straw.
after all the partying seemingly ended for the night, andy and i went to hallie's for a little get-together sort of thing. before we left, andy made me put on these crazy green pants with pink stitching. he had put on a sportscoat, a headband, a pair of soccer shorts, mega-sun-protection sunglasses, a giant disney world shirt, and no shoes. we get there and generally have a good time. i had a blast, personally. i got to hang out with sarah, andy, and a few new people that i'm a pretty big fan of now.
i got to know kara, maugie, and gordo a lot better. i had known who they were and all that good stuff, but i had never really gotten the chance to get to know them. they are all really, really cool girls and i had a really good time hanging out with them. somewhere within the night, kara came to the conclusion that she wanted to wear my green pants, so we ended up trading pants. while she was wearing some loose fitting green pants, i was wearing some tight ass girls jeans. they were ridiculously tight. i got a good laugh out of it. gordo gave me my first taste of soup, which i'm very appreciative of. however, i don't think the little sip that i took constitutes as enough for eating soup for the first time. i still need to get around to doing that. i had a really great night just hanging out. i was in a really happy mood. this just gets me more excited about moving to lafayette.
also, the guys in the christian metalcore pseudo-tbm were there, too. they were on tour and were going to crash at hallie's for the night. they were really kind of to themselves, but i figured that they just didn't really know anybody and were kind of shy. overall, though, they were really nice guys. i'm hoping the next time they come around lafayette, we can book some shows with them.
revelation for the night/note to self: cigarette companies sell cigarettes in packs of two stating: "buy one, get one free!" sounds like a good deal, right? that's how they get you addicted so that you can buy more. they're willing to sacrafice a pack of cigarettes because they know that they'll get you.
touche', cigarette companies.
unfortunately, i thought it would be a great idea to have two packs of cigarettes for the price of one while i was in the store. i realized this going down the highway. damn it.
