I decided to do a little kitbashing to make a new Permission for my DFRPG campaign in response to a request from one of my players. This is non-canonical, but since it's just for my campaign I didn't figure there'd be a problem with it. I found it very easy to put together a custom build (and I think from the playtest forum others feel the same way). I'm looking forward to a build it yourself supernatural stunt discussion (if not in Dresden File maybe in the FATE 3.0 core).
Let me know what you think.
Gargoyle Faerie [-1]
Musts: Your high concept must indicate that you’re a gargoyle faerie and whether you are a member of a court or wild. You must take at least Claws (-1), Wings (-1), Glamours (-2), Inhuman Strength (-2) and Inhuman Toughness (-2). Almost every gargoyle ends up as an NPC.
Options: You may instead take Supernatural Strength (-4) or SupernaturalToughness (-4) instead of the Inhuman versions.
Description: You’re a faerie creature, musclebound, winged and fearsome. You’re subject to all the usual rules of behavior of a fullblooded faerie because-well-you are one. Gargoyles are highly territorial and often are bound by promises to protect some magical/holy site.
Effects: The following effects are built into this permission:
Faerie Blood. Even the lowest of the Faerie are truebloods of their kin, and can call
upon the powers of their kind. The trade-off, of course, is that all such creatures are
subject to the rules of the faerie-kind: vulnerable to cold iron, must speak the truth,
and bound by gifts.
