A Dance with Dragons by George R. R. Martin Release Date Announced!

Entertainment Weekly, in conjunction with the book’s publisher, has announced the release date of the fifth book of George R. R. Martin’s A Song of Ice and Fire series, A Dance with Dragons.
A Dance With Dragons will be published on July 12. The manuscript is huge - the publisher estimates the hardcover edition will run more than 900 pages, putting it about the same length as the longest book in the series, A Storm of Swords. Schedule your summer vacation accordingly.
The book is not actually done yet, but apparently the publisher is confident Martin will meet the deadline. We’ll see.
UPDATE 10:12 EST: Martin confirms that July 12, 2011 is a “hard date” and the book WILL be published on that day.
