writing, art and pretty things
I'll start this post off by saying I'M MEANT TO BE WRITING! FIC! RIGHT NOW! INSTEAD OF THIS POST! OMG! My brain is overflowing with ideas and the bunnies have been whispering things into my ears when I've been trying to sleep. Damn creepy bunnies (like Frank from Donnie Darko). So maybe I will make a post that lists all the fics I plan to write or have promised to write, and then tick them off as I write them. Also then you guys could prod me to write. That might help too.
Yesterday, I met ffarff, who I only previously knew on the internet even though we both live in Melbourne and have a nixwilliams in common. ffarff does awesome paintings, mainly portraits (right?), and I'd commissioned him to do me a painting of Marlene Dietrich. And so we finally met face to face, to make the exchange and have a drink. It was like a small club for scruffy haired people. He is well-dressed and lovely, and it wasn't at all awkward and we had many things to talk about! :D Also he is super talented! Look at the painting, OMG:
He has a store, so if you too want your own custom made painting, then talk to him about it! I might have to get him to do me a David Bowie later in the year. I have yet to experience the "coming alive at night" phenomenon, but I expect Marlene is still settling into her new home.
I'm afraid I have discovered milou-veronica who makes beautiful delicate layouts and now I want a new layout, even though I just got a new layout. *pout* Like this one (from this post) (even though it does have red, or any bright colour in it, and I love red and bright colours!). Or this one or this one (aah, red!). Perhaps they are too girly for me and I want something slightly more modern looking and with font that is easier to read, but OMG SO PRETTY! (peace-bloom, you would like them too I wager.)
Now I go to make LOLariously bad manips make a cup of tea and write, while propped up in bed, away from THE EV0L AND DISTRACTING INTERTRONS.
ETA: Oh noes! What have I done??! I have discovered you can buy PAPER from Etsy. Now I want this and this and maybe this and definitely this beautiful book that also features COMICS about CATS. Holy fuckersnaps, I can't afford this knowledge! (Totally writing. Shut up.)
