Agh! I do very much empathise with the rat saga! I've had two in on the same night...I'm pretty sure it was the same one, apart from the second time it was dead-er!

oh god, and i haven't posted about it yet - but he had yet another one in yesterday! my housemate caught it and released it over the back fence (into the paddock) the poor little thing was so terrified it couldn't move. but toby didn't seem too interested in it though. i wonder if he's found a nest or something. *le sigh*

Agh - love the icon - so cute :)

Nests of small furry/feathery things are bad. Florence once brought me in the live and chirping contents of a robin's nest, one by one. Mum and dad were away, and I hadn't a clue what to do with them, so I tried putting them back. Not sure many of them made it *sigh*. That's about the only time I was really mad with the moggy - though I forgave her quick enough ;) Fortunately(ish), she has narrowed her area of interest just to rats, these days!

oh! robins! wow. i only get mad at toby if he catch's native things. introduced birds and rodents are fine by me! though he does catch approx. 100 skinks a week and i don't know, i think they might be native, but i'm not sure. but he loses a lot of them or we take them off him, so i don't actually know how many he kills. pigeons occasionally (introduced). um. it's pretty terrible. it's like we don't feed him or something! at least, that's what he'd say. ;-)

Wow! Toby is one busy little hunter ;) To be honest, Florence isn't that prolific these days...I think she's worked out sitting on the sofa and hissing at the magpies through the window is nearly as entertaining ;)
