Ok, so maybe I am a bit dumb at the moment because Bubbles has sucked up my brain. But I need your help. I am thinking of buying
this excellent t-shirt for my housemate for christmas (if it gets here on time) and while i'm at it, i'm gonna get myself
this excellent t-shirt. But
sizing chart is confusing me. 'Chest' means all around the chest, i presume... Ok, don't mind me. I think I worked it out.
OMG omg i am so excited about the steampunk I am going to forcibly insert into my small Melbournian family drama of a novel. God, I can't believe 'family drama' is the most accurate tag I can think of for it. How about dysfunction is fun and siblings can have threesomes if they only share one parent and you can never escape your zombie past. Heh. So as soon as I stop playing Bubbles, there will be a whole steampunkish chapter which will be the best thing ever written only loosely connected to what has come before. Rock!
ETA: I have written about 1K of the steampunk bit of the story and omg I am so in love with it! There are street urchins, red braces, a big red steampunk truck, a woman with tattoos all over her neck and down her back, a double-amputee mechanic who gets around on wheels, allusions to drug-use and orgies both with no age restrictions (haha lj!), a boy named Rafferty who has long flowing hair like James May who is very very pretty and who the main character (of this section), Ibrahim, will end up falling in love with (I think) or something terribly tragic and Victorian will happen, like one of them dies of TB and the other gets maimed or something. Golly good fun, I must say! *sigh*
Now will I ever return to the "main" section of the novel? Need I ever?
Also, should I write more now or go make my dinner of salmon and asparagus and capsicum salad with or without a poached egg and/or some baked ricotta. What say you?
PS. I think I am a closet fantasy writer. Does anyone know of a support group I can join?
