shameless plugs FTW! Also, fauns! :D

Next stop: Merlin fic involving fauns. Colin as a faun maybe? Hmm. *ponders*

Thank you! I...didn't expect you to! And I'm worried you'll get the wrong impression about the kind of stuff I write. Perhaps this is more typical, or this. Though this received a good but small reception (for something so insane). But I am more proud of this (my OTP) and this (my attempt at kinky, but read the warnings!). Oh geez, talk about self-pimping. I'll stop now. You do not have to read any of those! But if you are looking for some distractions and want to read something fair-to-moderately insane, then...?! ;D

Um.. why did you not expect me to? Thanks too btw for the recs! I can see what you mean about the range of yr material, although i think yr sense of style shows though in all of those pieces. I do like the way you notice small, apparently inconsequential objects/feelings/events and bring them jarring to the fore. It can be hard to do that and remain engaging, but i think you do a wonderful job of it. :)

I guess because I didn't meet you through fandom and am never exactly sure what "RL" people (or new friends in fact) think of fandom and fic-writing and all that. My secret shame, let me show you it.

But anyway, thanks for reading! I am very flattered by your comment here and on the fics themselves. I aim to write things that are first and foremost readable and (hopefully) engaging. I think that if you have to struggle to read something (particularly fiction) then the writer is not doing their job very well. I am hoping that all my PRACTICE in fandom will eventually translation into "REAL" writing! ;)

heh... yeah, fandom. XD I guess i don't have any feelings one way or another about it as a concept, but the writing is quite interesting... i'm always finding as a reader that i'm trying to get inside the head of the author (as well as the characters of course - and sometimes that gets blurred - but patterns in the way language is used is what grabs me), but with fan-fic i'm really aware that someone is trying to climb inside someone elses head at the same time as i'm climbing inside theirs? Maybe that happens to some degree with all writing, but it just seems... hightened, somehow. And often unintentionally hilarious, and occasionally OMG MAKE ME UNREAD IT, and sometimes, just sometimes, everything seams so well that it seems entirely new in a "i think i've been here before" kinda way. Ah, delicious dejavu ( ... )
