WTF, self? Two crafting days in short succession (at the Really Big Party and then on Monday with Nix at TMGP's craft meeting) and then what do I do this afternoon, after a leisurely brunch with
Sajee and
peace-bloom at my favourite midweek cafe? Instead of writing (the original, if vague, plan) I spent a good chunk of the afternoon DOING CRAFT. I made a huge mess (the best part, right?) and also a collage of about 30cm by 32cm, celebrating my love of the colour red (there's also some blue in there too, it couldn't be avoided, though I guess blue is OK too). It's kinda patchworky. I'll see what I think of it tomorrow. It looks OK against a plain background. Maybe I'll stick it on the wall. Tell me if you want to see a photo of it and I'll take one when there's daylight.
I love the colour red. Have I mentioned that here before? I love colour in general (a passion inherited from my mum) but red in particular. Perhaps I should mention that I do not identify as a craft-doing person - though I do love making collagey-type cards for people. For these, I have a large and growing collection of bits of paper: tissue-paper, patterned paper, plain paper, etc. I'd like to think today's collagey thing is actually art but that might be going a bit far. Also, it's easier to sit down and do craft. Much less pressure than making SRS art.
