Ah, subbing tomorrow. I still need to shave, but I've already packed my lunch, so I'm ready. Plus, it is a bilingual class, which have consistently been my favorite classes by far. Boy, has anyone else seen Zardoz, John Boorman's follow-up to Deliverence? A monolythic floating stone-head, a "god" with a penciled-in goatee, Sean Connery in a red diaper and ammo belts crossed over his chest? And set in 2293? And Charlotte Rampling to give it a little class? What's not to like? Actually, as absurd as it is in some ways, it is deadly serious in its muddled worldview, and thus it exerted a strange fascination over me...I will have to watch it again.
