When you think you're treading water but you're just learning how to drown
Hey guys! Long time, no LJ. It seems that way, anyway. I haven't been online much in the last week or so and have about five days' worth of livejournal to catch up on. My mom and I have been busy moving into the new house completely ass-backwards, bringing in tote bag upon tote bag of books and not making much of a dent with all the things we really need to take over. My boss from the garden center called while I was out yesterday to tell me to come in for training next Thursday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. I have psychology class in the middle of that time so I have to call him back, which I'm avoiding because I hate phone calls. I also have to call back the woman who called me from Seeds of Literacy about coming in for training this Saturday, again when I have class (what the heck, I have class only three times a week... way to go, inconvenient scheduling). So I have to call her about coming in when they have a class session next week instead. My mom has to come with me to that because I have no idea how to get around Cleveland and because my mom wants to make sure I won't get stabbed going there because, as she says, "there ain't no good part of Cleveland." I'm worried I'm taking on too much. I've gone from nothing to tons of stuff happening in two weeks, but I've realized that's stemming from the fact that my classes are going well. For once I'm not screwing up school, and I feel like I can handle more than nothing.
