Played in Milwaukee at an artspace. Crazy stuff, including a video piece of a girl stripping naked and covering herself in paint. Also, this is my new favorite idea: a bunch of people came in wearing explorer gear, and one guy was in a loincloth and facepaint, and they were walking aroun town all night pretending to be on an expedition. It was awesome. The show went well, then the next day we rushed down to Chicago again to tape this local access children's dance show called Chic-a-go-go. We lip-synced along to a song, got interviewed by the host, Miss Mia (there was also a puppet sidekick called Ratso), then danced to some songs. We played a house show that night in Toledo at the house of the other band, The Hat Company. The next day we bummed in Toledo, then played an uneventful show in Ypsilanti, Mich. with some band from a tiny nation between Iceland and Scotland (pop: 50,000).
Now begins the "sit around in Toledo" portion of the tour. Predicted entry for Days 19-21: "We sat around in Toledo."
