PFHSFBLA/Google Chrome/Tree shopping

As a sales associate for RadioShack, I was one of the highest revenue generators in the entire nation (note the fairly accurate double-meaning). As a manager, I was awarded for having the most profitable store in the nation. Twice. I then took over Wisconsin, northern Illinois and Iowa, and will likely lead my District to repeat the same accomplishment on a grander scale.

This morning, in the parking lot of my local grocer, a funny thought occurred to me: I was not allowed to join the Park Falls HS Future Business Leaders of America. In fact, I was made to leave the classroom in which they met... on more than one occasion (I was persistent). It was embarrassing to be told that I would likely "never lead anything important. Not in business, at least." Well, Mrs. Kempf, it turns out I was a leader, after all. I led myself to a salary more than twice the amount you receive for making kids feel badly about themselves. Thanks for the motivation.

In other news, I absolutely love Google Chrome. After having used IE for so long, I guess I had resigned myself to a life of mediocre browsing. I tried FireFox because it was so highly rated. Wasn't my thing. I felt ripped off that I had to return to MSIE, so I upgraded to IE8, which is no more than a poor attempt to copy FireFox. This morning, I downloaded Chrome out of desperation. I have nothing bad to say about it. Check it out if it's your thing.

I have never shopped for a Christmas tree. Every once in a while as a kid, my old man would bring home something out of a National Lampoon's movie, but since living on my own I've never had a tree. I've entertained the idea of a Chanuka bush, but seriously - why sell myself short. Now that I'm married and the head of a Christian household, there is no shame in rocking out the tree. I am going to take Rebekah and the baby to Mosinee tonight to a place where you can walk around with Cocoa or Cider and occasionally duck out of the cold. We don't have any ornaments, so it'll be a bit plain, but I think it'll be a blast.
