Gentlemen...Behold!
It's PUNISHER-VENOM! And here's the cover to his first appearance! I know a lot of current comics-readers (myself included) lament too frequently that comics now are too much like they were in the '90s, but seriously? They may as well just give this dude Wolverine claws and an adamantium skeleton, so that you'd have the Platonic ideal of a Marvel character from 1993.
What really kills me is that, from what little I can gather, this new Venom still has the symbiote...so why does he need all this tac-ops bullshit? Venom was already bulletproof, because bullets would just get embedded in the suit, and it would spit them back out - so what purpose do the flak jacket and wrist pads and stuff even serve? And why does Venom even need a knife or a gun in the first place?
